Invoice Cove is built to run entirely on your device. There is no Invoice Cove server, no account to create, and no analytics or advertising SDK inside the app. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
No account required No analytics No ads No data sold, ever1. Your business data stays on your device
Every invoice, quote, draft, customer record, calendar note, business profile, and generated PDF created in Invoice Cove is stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. We, Magotel, the developer of Invoice Cove, never receive a copy of any files, do not have a server it could be sent to, and cannot see it.
We do not collect any data about your invoices, quotes, or customers, and we do not collect any data about how you use the app either which means: no invoice totals, no customer names, no usage analytics, no crash reports and no device identifiers sent to us. Nothing about your activity in Invoice Cove is transmitted anywhere in the background.
2. We are not responsible for data that only ever existed on your device
Your invoices, quotes, customer records and settings are stored solely on your device and never on any server we control, Magotel has no ability to see, back up, or recover that data and no responsibility for it if lost. If you uninstall Invoice Cove, clear its storage, lose your device, or your device is reset, that data is gone unless you personally exported or backed it up beforehand (see Backup & restore and Exporting invoices in the User Guide). This also means we cannot restore anything on your behalf if something goes wrong locally on your device, there is simply nothing on our end to restore it from.
3. Sharing is your choice, each time
When you tap Share on an invoice, a quote, an export or a backup, Android's own share sheet opens and you pick the destination: email, messaging apps, cloud storage, etc, that you have installed. Invoice Cove does not send anything automatically or in the background, once a file is shared with another app, that app's own privacy policy applies to what happens to it next, not this one.
4. Choosing a logo image
Adding a business logo uses your device's built-in photo picker. Invoice Cove only receives the single image you explicitly select; it does not get broader access to your photo library.
5. Exports and backups
Invoice Cove can export your invoices as Excel, CSV table or a ZIP of PDFs alongside this, it can create a backup file of everything stored in the app (invoices, quotes, drafts, customers, calendar notes, settings, your logo and PDFs). When you choose Save, Android's standard "Save As" dialog opens and you decide exactly where the file goes; when you choose Share, the Android share sheet opens (see section 3). Invoice Cove does not have open-ended access to your device storage. To restore a backup, you pick the file yourself with Android's file picker.
A backup file is not encrypted. Anyone who gets hold of it can read what is inside, so keep it somewhere private. Your App Lock PIN and recovery code are never included in it.
6. App Lock (PIN and fingerprint)
If you turn on App Lock, your PIN and the recovery code you are shown once are used only to unlock the app on your device. Neither is stored in plain text, only a salted hash of each is kept on your device, and that data is excluded from Android backups and from Invoice Cove backup files. Fingerprint unlock uses Android's own biometric prompt, Invoice Cove is only told whether the check succeeded and never receives your fingerprint data.
7. Local reminders
Invoice Cove can remind you about upcoming due dates using local notifications scheduled on your device. These are not push notifications, nothing is sent to or received from a remote server to make them work.
8. Invoice Cove Pro (one-time purchase)
Unlocking Invoice Cove Pro is a one-time, non-subscription purchase processed entirely by Google Play. We use the Google Play Billing Library to complete and verify the purchase; this is the only feature of the app itself that uses the internet, and is solely to talk to Google Play's own servers. Your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) are handled by Google, not by us, we never see or store them. Google's own Privacy Policy applies to that transaction.
9. This website and links inside the app
The "User Guide" link in the app's settings, and the Magotel link, open web pages in your browser; "Share this app" shares a Google Play link through Android's share sheet. Invoice Cove itself does not send anything when you do this. The pages of this website are hosted on GitHub Pages and load their fonts from Google Fonts, your browser contacts those services to display them, and their own privacy policies apply to that. Nothing you enter in the app is part of this.
10. Android system backups
If Android's built-in "Back up to Google Drive" setting is turned on at the system level, your device may include Invoice Cove's local app data in that standard OS backup (and in a device-to-device transfer). That is a feature of Android itself, not something Invoice Cove initiates or has access to; we do not receive anything from it, and we cannot guarantee it will restore your data correctly. Invoice Cove excludes your App Lock data from those Android backups.
11. Children's privacy
Invoice Cove is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly or purposely collect any data from children. In line with the rest of this policy, we do not collect data from anyone.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version at this same address.
